Forum isnt what it used to be.

I have noticed since the shutdown that there arent as many people posting and there is more and more time between posts. In its hey day there was a post every 5 min. at least. Now you can go hours with out seeing any new posts. It really bothers me. I love this place and all but we need to get the word back out.

This forum is like the neighborhood bar or restaurant, it was closed for a while and some of the regulars still come by where others have moved on.
There are the usual cretins and morons that pass by, cause trouble for a while but as with such childish minds, they get bored fast and leave to cause trouble some place else.

Give it some time Bird.

Simply put ...

The new dark color of the forum sucks - which makes you not want to bother reading anything.

The new small type of the forum sucks - which exacerbates the above and makes you not want to bother reading anything all the more.

The constant starting, and re-starting, of the forum sucks - which makes you not want to bother posting anything that would take care and time to write.

And, now, therefore most of the posters here suck - which makes you not want to bother reading anything all the more when combined with the above. Especially when I post

It is just the natural progression of events and typifies the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Especially trying to "fix it" a hundred times. JMHO

I know I can get the hell out if I don't like the forum, but the new colors are damn mugly. Not because it's dark--In The Guard is dark but I think that, aesthetically, it's the best looking forum on the net--but because the choice of colors is so bad IMHO. The blue & bronze logo is hideous. I'm sure one of the members here could make something nice free of charge. I've seen other graphic stuff made by Goddess that was much better looking. The colors are too drab and make the site look cheap and old.

EJ's right too. The board could use more off topic posts without losing its theme as a BJJ/MMA forum. Unfortunately, people won't post interesting non-martial arts topics because unless you're Pit Dog, it'll get deleted or moved to the Open Access forum to die a slow death. That's not a knock against Pit, but he gets away with more off topic stuff than anyone else.

What we need is the return of Bison.

This was my first MMA forum. Unlike a first GF however, the forum doesn't grow bitter with the years, nor does it slowly seep your life away and make every attempts to stop you from even mentioning another forum.
I will continue to post and rely on this forum as I always have.
Give it time.
