    I dont think we should use Bob Arum as the bar for the establishment.. But do think we have overtaken boxing

    i dont think we have taken over boxing. Boxing has been around for decades and is still popular. we need to keep MMA alive and well and maybe eventually we can overtake boxing. Surely the younger generation looks at MMA more than boxing. When this generation gets olderthen we shall see how MMA if it does overtake boxing.

    I can agree with that.. I just think that boxing has so many shady characters that it does not have the same reputation that it used to have

    In NZ the shady characters just move from boxing to MT to MMA. They are one and the same. MMA is not and will not be immune to them.

    The viewership, "reality" shows, clothing, and all the new schools recently popping up everywhere tells us that MMA is now more popular than boxing. Weither or not it stays that way is the question, but I see no reason it wouldn't.
