Bubba is U.S. Patent #6,139,328. I've been building these
grappling dummies for 10 years. They were developed through
trial and error. The more Jiu-Jitsu I learned, the more Bubba
changed so I could practice my new techniques. The standard
size Bubba is 5' 10" tall and weighs about 45 pounds. This
seems light, but it is dead weight. Most users think this is
the perfect weight. However, custom orders are available.
One of the most unique features is the joints. They bend naturally, but the elbows and knees don't bend backwards.
That allows the user to put full leverage into their jointlocks.
He is sold exclusively by the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, and he
sells for $399 plus shipping and handling.

How hard can you hit it. Also is it soft or hard?

Ah Ha,now we know why BJJ guys always start on their knees.
Bubba can't stand.
Now if you can put a motor inside of it ,so it will fight back and give resistance then you would have something.

Is Bubba anatomically correct?

If so, does it come in male and female versions?

Who put the sock over the brother’s head?

Is this some sort of sick KKK post?

Good questions. Bubba is soft enough but not too soft.
You can hit him as hard as you want. Bubba will stand,
but you need to give him a little support. If you straighten
his legs for 30 seconds to 1 minute, he will support a lot
of his own weight. Then, just push down on his knees
between throws and takedowns. When his knees start
to buckle easily, repeat the 30 second to one minute process.
Bubba is not anatomically correct, so he has trouble when
he goes out on dates with Real Doll.

Bubba can offer some resistance. If you interlock his fingers,
he will resist you getting too close to him. That makes it more
of a challenge for you to punch him, and it sets up nicely for armbars. He doesn't have a motor, but that's an interesting idea.

Just a giant gyro inside to give the feel of weight changes and subtle movements could be beneficary.

Hi Bubbamaker,

I actually talked to you on the UG, you said that bubba is 5'10.

But is there other heights? Like 6'1 for instance, or do they all come in the standard 5'10 version.

I'll be buying one regardless, I'm just wondering if it is possible to get a taller version?

Thanx.

Hi Mik. Thanks for your interest. I have made Bubbas as
tall as 6' 2", but they start looking pretty lanky as they get
taller. Anything other than standard size costs an additional
$100, too, so I always recommend the 5' 10" version. I'm 6' 2"
and 195 lbs, and the 5' 10" version is my favorite of all the
sizes I've built.

Does Bubba come with his own trailer?

You know, as long as he is kneeling like that, you suppose you could give him a mouth?

Is there a Black Belt version? I think the white belt would not challenge my skills enough.

Bubba's is handmade, and it takes about 18 hours to build
one dummy. Bubba's price is heavily influenced by the time it takes to build him, by supply and demand, and by the prices of competing dummies. He's still one of the least expensive dummies on the market, and we feel he is the best.

No, he doesn't come with a trailer or a mouth. I had to send one out with a black belt because I was out of white belts. All of the other Bubbas were jealous of his rank.
