 |  Herschel Walker starting out new career in MMA with Strikeforce MMA Sept. 21, 2009, 2:08PM NEW YORK — Herschel Walker is starting a new career in mixed martial arts. The 47-year-old former NFL running back said Monday that he has signed a multi-fight contract with promoter Strikeforce. Walker will begin a 12-week training camp next month in San Jose, Calif. The 1982 Heisman Trophy winner already holds a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

| I just hope he does not take too much of a beating.. but I am curious. whats the average age for an MMA fighter?

| Hershel was always in top shape even inhis last few years when he was with the vikings and eagles. he still had the 6 pack then. he may still have the body but i think he will be lacking flexibility and may be too "stiff" for MMA fighting. mma fanatic HawaiiUFC.com - UFC Gear, UFC Videos, UFC Books, UFC News, and More. |
