![]() | The fighters' cardio (or lack of it) is shocking! Also, most of them have no jiu-jitsu whatsoever. Every time they show them training they are training standup; I guess all of them have decent standup for about 30 seconds, until they get gassed. I thought with all the former pro athletes in the lineup that cardio would not be so pathetic and that it was the fighting skills that would get better. Kimbo is the only one with decent cardio so far, but his ground skills will never fly. People say that Chieck Kongo's ground skills are weak, but it's a totally different level, just compared to the elites. Kimbo really is a white belt on the ground, no hip movement or escape capability at all. I can't see any of these guys becoming the next Diego, Rashad, Forrest, Bonnar, Jardine, etc. No way. Dana White is so full of shit. He goes raving about the fight afterwards about how those guys were out there throwing bombs! They were moving in slow motion, and then when they got tired they were just standing there! Roy Nelson is probably the best fighter in there. But he's a fatass too, who has already reached his potential. Can't imagine what he would do if he made it into the UFC and had to face Carwin, Velaszuez, Dos Santos, Noguiera, or Mir. He controlled Arlovski briefly before getting KO'd, don't think he could even do that with the current UFC cast. The winner of the season should be sacrficed to Dos Santos, that would be funny. I can't see any of them being that great even if they dropped to LHW. And then all the hype surrounding the planned Rashad/Rampage matchup will not be happening. They keep talking trash and building things up, Dana keeps saying how these guys really want to kill each other, but it's all BS. Rashad didn't sound he cared to much about Rampage quitting to be on the A-team movie, just one less difficult opponent for him on his way back up the ladder. And Rampage already broke his obligations. The show is way outdated regarding this part. I think they should have brought more coaches in to work these guys out better. The few clips in the kitchen show them eating shit, not athlete food. Maybe each team could have brought a jiu-jitsu coach, a cardio coach, and a nutritionist. Rampage absolutely sucks as a coach, which figures, the guy is all natural ability. I bet Diego Sanchez could take any of this season's HW guys, despite the 80 lb weight difference. All he'd have to do is run away for the first 30 seconds. |

![]() | I agree, but I think that is the premise of the show.. To develop an amateur fighter.. I am curious to see how they improve by the end of the season

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Last nights fighters sucked big time. They had the motor skills of 12 year olds. I'm sure Dana White could find better prospects than that. It reminds me of when I was learning to box at the age of 12. Being a right hander, I remember trying to learn the left hook. LOL It was really a lot of work getting my left arm to move in a motion that now is second nature. LOL
