Duchman,
Do you even know Rorion? Where did you get your details as to this match? Kimura, as Shimora said, weighed around 215-220. When he wrestled professionally his weight was heavier then that. The website where Kimura is listed at 185 was around the time he'd won his first All Japan Title. This match with Helio was years later. At the time the match took place, Judo & Ju Jutsu were still fairly close as opposed to now. Kimura was quoted in the Brazilian papers as saying that no non-Japanese had lasted more then 3 minutes with him and if Helio did, then he could think of himself as the winner. There is a full tape of the fight and Rorion said as much. He further said only a few minutes were shown of it. The fight did go 13 min. Obviously what you saw, if you saw anything, was only the second round. The first round went 10 min. and Carlos threw the towel in about 3 minutes into round 2. There never was any talk of a work. Helio had defeated Kato and Kimura was under pressure to win. The Brazilians knew this and would never have approached Kimura to work that particular fight. The Japanese would not have agreed to let Helio live 3 seconds much less 10 minutes. They were furious he had defeated Kato. As to Helio, he stated he had been rendered unconscious, but no one, not the ref, or Kimura knew it. He stated that Kimura congratulated him on getting out of the hold. He further stated at one time the pressure put on by Kimura made his nose or ear bleed, Kimura asked if he was okay, he said he was and Kimura put the pressure on again. As to throws, Kato pretty much threw Helio at will, however, was frustrated that Helio wasn't affected by the throws. He then tried to take it to the ground and got choked out from the guard. Helio was probably hoping the frustration would get to Kimura also. Rorion has pretty much quoted the papers on what he said as to this fight. Hawk

Hawk is correct.
I believe that duchman is the love child spawned from a night of passion between THEDONBREAKYORARMI and an Amsterdam prostitute. This would explain a lot.
