![]() | Damn, I was training like mad from may for this! I did it! right now there are only six purples in italy. wooooow! I did receive the "trainer" qualification, that is: I can teach the very basics of RVT to others! That are some of the thing we endured: -12 hours a day training for seven days. -3 min pinned on scarf hold receiving open hand full power blows from a competition team member (pro). -up to 4 hours continuous randori (groundwork sparring) -daily 8km roadwork -anatomy and training methodology test That was the final belt exam: -5min boxing spar with a competition team member -5min thai boxe sparring (same) -5min clinching and takedowns -5min groundwork vale tudo sparring (cup, mouthpiece, harbingers) until tapping. I lasted in the vale tudo section for a full 2 mins before being slammed and choked by a veteran with a dozen fights under his belts....I'm really a pussy. Damn, if held in lock I didn't have tapped, but being choked at the risk of shitting my trunks in front of the class wasn't worth it...he he he... However, after exams, it was WIIIILD PARTYYYY! |

![]() | Hell, I did wondered the very same thing when I started in Ruas Vale Tudo. I think that it's a manner of rewarding students, but for me the real belt is in randori. The one that submit the others has the highest belt.... |
