You won't fight Ryan again?

"I want to fight but he ran away three times already. It's not even worth discussing. Unless the fans say "we want Ismail vs. Ryan" I don't think it will happen."

Who do you want to fight in the PRIDE ring next time?

"Whoever the PRIDE matchmakers decide, I will fight. Someone in my weight class of course. PRIDE is a very good event. I'm very happy I was able to get up on this ring. The reason I did not fight until now was because Ryan Gracie cancelled our fight twice. Does everyone know? The fact that I beat Royce Gracie. I beat him in five minutes. It took Sakuraba an hour and a half to beat him but I beat him in five minutes. I have proof of this. I have pictures. If you give me your business card I will bring you all of the evidence from Brazil."

Martial Artist, Why do you dislike Wallid? Is it because he choked out your hero and then used that match for self-promotion? He did what anyone else would have done. A lot of people like to knock Wallid because he has beaten some Gracies (a lot of you train with them), because he's not a good looking guy, or whatever other reason you can scrape up. Wallid seems like a really good guy and his interviews are nowhere near as ridiculous as Royce's and Rickson's interviews. Ryan is a known troublemaker and many people witnessed him cheap shot-sucker punch Wallid, only to get guillotined unconscious.

Maxximus, I see why you think that Sakuraba might kick the crap out of Wallid. Unfortunately for Wallid, his two worst fights ever have been the most high-profile. He showed up out-of-shaped and overconfident for those two fights. He is 19-2 in MMA with wins over Eugenio Tadeau, Johil de Oliveira, and Gary Myers. Which Gracie was it that could do nothing to Tadeau and ended up out of breath buttscooting and was saved from a loss by a riot? Takahashi stayed up using the fence the same way that Yamamoto did against Rickson. I predict that Wallid will become a respectable top 10 fighter in the under-185 division.

As for Royce, if Wallid fought him MMA he'd beat him almost as quickly and use the gi to choke his ass out just like last time. Don't tell me that Royce is better at MMA, because what is he better at? Nothing, besides maybe defending from strikes which won't matter because Wallid would be beating him the juijitsu way using that "inferior" Carlson Gracie technique.

I can understand some self promotion but lets not get carried away with it all. I have already read that interiview and dont find anything wrong with it. Wallid is the man. Not only is he an Arab brotha, but my Jiu Jitsu class call me Wallid because my name is sort of, kind of, his name. Its Khaled (have you guys ever seen Khalid Reeves in the NBA?) but my teacher has been calling me Kaleed since day one and no matter how many times I've told him how to pronounce my name, he still calls me that. So now I'm Kaleed Ismail.
