Great Roy Harris Autobiography

There are some great reflections by Roy Harris at mixedmartialarts.com in the BJJ-Q&A section of the underground forum. He talks about how he got into martial arts, his experiences with various Gracies, famous fighters he has had contact with, and a lot more.
I particularly found his experience with Rorion a little disturbing.

Lachy, it's not at his website. It is one of the threads in the BJJ-Q&A section. It's got over 100 replies and you can't miss it.

Wow. I must say that I was intrigued by his story. His accounts of his time with Rorion are shocking.....and truly disappointing. I've been a fan of the Gracie family for awhile now. Each new horror story I hear about Rorion and his grip on Gracie Jiu Jitsu, I want so much for it not to be true.

Money.

Did Rorion really believe that he would have a monopoly in the BJJ market? It's unfortunate that someone as sincere and thoughtful as Roy Harris would be turned away for "stealing" some minor press from the Gracies. With all the rumors circulating (drugs?!) I can see why Roy almost gave up BJJ because of this mess.

Unfortunate.

Yeah, but Shim, I hear these kinds of stories about Rorion all the time so I tend to believe it.
