I moved from Zagreb, Croatia to Tehran, Iran for business. Trained BJJ before (and some other things). Visited some Judo, Karate, New Kung Fu!!! clubs. They all suck.
Who knows somebody in Tehran who trains BJJ. Abu Dhabi is just too far away. jsperanda@yahoo.com Thanks |

I don't know about BJJ or VT but you could probably find a place to train in wrestling. By the way, you should try out some of your BJJ on those Persian women. They can be pretty hot.

Actually I wouldn't be worried so much for yourself, but more for the women. The islamic law is absolutely crazy, if a woman is caught cheating her husband, she get death sentence, courtesy of lapidation (i.e. killed by rocks throwed at her), I do know that is a remote possibility, but I wouldn't mess even with a minority of fanatics, here. Also, remember that you are american, and for such a minority, you are still an enemy. In you place, I would be VERY,VERY,VERY,VERY cautious here. And please, get armed as soon as possible.

You shouldn't be sleeping with people's wives no matter where you go. Americans are not the enemy to the average Iranian these days. Most of them actually love Americans. I've heard this from people that traveled there and from my many Iranian friends. Most Iranians are fairly liberal minded and like to party behind closed doors. You have to remember that the strict Islamic law that they are under is foreign to Persian people. It's not their culture it's Arabic culture. Before the revolution Iran was a happening place. But the excesses of the Shah and the crap that western powers were pulling over there at the time understandably pissed people off and lead to the current system of government. But most Iranians are still partiers at heart and the country will change someday.

I don't know about BJJ, but I do know that Iran is a world power on the wrestling scene... work hard on your takedowns and sprawls w/o using your hands... never know when you'll lose one in Iran!

Hey Doucheman, I don't think you should be putting in your 15 year old 2 cents.
Listen to E1am as he obviously knows what he's talking about. He's not saying things like "I heard one time some jewish guy from America, who is the enemy in Iran, slept with some guys wife and they tied him up and threw acid and rocks at him! Those bastards!" You know why only hear stories of these things? Because they hardly ever happen. Its not the accepted behavior to kill people by throwing rocks at them. You don't get sentenced, its not the 13th century there guys. Some people are crazy, just like in America and anywhere else.

LOL Douche, you're hilarious. Where did I challange you to a fight in my post? And if I told you my name (which is in my profile, and if you want to know it its Khaled Ahmad) what are you gonna do? Come to Southern California and fight me? I think you've hung out way too long in the Red Light District and taken far to many shots to the head trying to fight people using your "open minded" aproach to MA.
