Does anyone have or seen the Tony Lopez Combat Sambo? I was wondering what you guys think about the tapes.

The grappling arts imply most fights end up on the ground. The striking arts imply all fights start standing up. The clinching arts imply the clinch can stop the striker from striking, and the grappler from taking it to the ground. The weapon arts imply the they can stop the unarmed man. A complete martial art implies any fight can go anywhere...be ready and able to go everywhere.

I have all of them.
There is some good stuff on these tapes, and I love the leg locks series. Tony Lopez seems like a nice guy (although might have some war flashbacks occasionally ) and seems to have some good knowledge.
I think that Tony Lopez may not be as "tight" with some moves as some of the others I have seen. But definately still worth checking out.

I have them, Ryu (non-working password). I was wondering how far off or not does the realism of the tape go? I have them and seen them, I also love his leg locks, I think there is some really good material there. For myself, when working with weapons, I can look and see if the guy with weapons knows what he's doing or not, but I have no clue with grappling. I think that some of the moves were a little fancy, but is that due to lack of experience or am I correct?

I see how the "techniques" he shows can still be taken and mixed with some "aliveness". Basics all seem the same.
