Beer league Exploits!

Well gentlemen, Daddy's off to Phoenix, AZ to kick some ass in the biggest baseball tourney of the year. The MABL World Series!

Yes, champion beer leaguers like myself who couldn't make it to the Major or Minor leagues have an outlet to relive the glory days of our youth. I only wish my fellow bjj practitioner and semi pro baseball player, EJ, could have gone to the tourney with me. EJ frowns upon the term beer leaguer by the way :].

So, how many beer leaguers do we have on Mousels? It doesn't matter the sport! Just the fact, you get your broken down asses on the field, dirt, water, or mat "Al Bundy style"........

I dont know if you want to call it beer league,but I start play in a winter basketball league next month. Playing with a bunch of ex-high school studs who dropped out of college or couldnt make the jump past the J.C. level.

Yo BB, that hoops league reminds me of when a former employer signed the office scrubs up for an EXECUTIVE LEAGUE. This league was sweet... indoor gym, glass boards, and NBA and PAC-10 referees every game. The league fee was $3000 a team.

I was the second tallest at 6'0, and I play outside. The tallest was a 6'3 250 lb 50 year old accountant, with a 2" vert. Let me preface by saying, after numerous injuries, you can barely fit a shadow under my vert also.

The best player on our team was a 5'7", 140 Vietnamese rockabilly cat with a sweet pompadour. Most of the other teams suited up 5 to 7 different 6'4" + monsters. We got killed in every game.

One game, our SHAQUILLE-like bean-counter went up for a sickly layup that got pinned to the board by some 6'6" grasshopper.... He complained to the ref (Leon Wood, NBA ref) who responded... "that wouldn't happen if you didn't take that shit up so weak!!!"

There's my organized hoops experience... I am pretty good at "H-O-R-S-E" & "Around The World" tho!!!
