Thumbs up UFC 33 comeon everyone!!!

UFC 33 is this friday prediction time for what is looking like a great event:

LHEAVY CHAMP. Tito Ortiz vs. Vladimir Matheush something lol
Winner: Ortiz by ref stop, but it will be a close matchup.

LIGHT CHAMP. Jens Pulver vs. Dennis Hallman
Winner: Jens Pulver, it will either be a short knock out or a long decision either way I got whit Little Evil

MIDDLE CHAMP. Dave Menne vs. Gil Castillo
Winner: Castillo by armbar, for the one's who dont know Gil they are gonna be surprise great Jiu Jitsu

LHEAVY BOUT. Chuck Liddel vs. Murilo Bustamente
Winner: Let's go CHUCK! Liddel is my fav. fighter so he is gonna knock a third guy in a row, but it will be a tough bout

WELTER BOUT. Matt Serra vs. Yves Edward
Winner: WOW! this will maybe be the showstealer I have to go whit aaaaaaaaaaah I dont know but let's say Matt Serra

MIDDLE BOUT. Eugene Jackson vs. Ricardo Almeida
Winner: I'm going whit the "Big Dog" Eugene as heart but Almeida is too much a good grappler for him

LIGHT BOUT. Fabiano Iha vs. Din Thomas
Winner: Din "the dominator" thomas why? because I dont like Iha thats all

WELTER BOUT. Tony DeSouza vs. Jutaro Nakao
Winner: Tony and easely!

Thats all lets hear what you have to say on this incradible card!

Tito Ortiz vs. The Janitor
Damn, this is a great match up. Both have takedowns and takedown defense. Who is the better striker? Who can take a punch? Who can fight from their back? We've seen Tito take a jump knee flush to the chin then get right back up to issue beatdown. If he can withstand Vanderlei's striking he can withstand Vladdys - Unless he underestimates Vladdy. Who will be on their back if it goes to the ground? If its Vladdy, I say Tito will punish him. If Tito gets on his back can he submit Vladdy? hmmm...
Winner: Ortiz by Decision though I'd like to see him win decisively. I can't wait for this fight. This will be Tito's toughest since Vanderlei.

Jens Pulver vs. Dennis Hallman
Winner: I'm picking upset. Hallman by sub even though I think he's outmatched in the striking dept. If Pulver tries to unleash he'll be taken to the ground by Hallman where Miletich and Co. have shown they're open to the sub.

Chuck Liddell vs. Murilo Bustamante
Bustamante better be ready to at least pretend to strike with Liddell otherwise he's never getting it to the ground. If he does the ol' arms out, head down bull rush of a takedown his head will get knocked off. I hope he can get it to the ground for at least a few minutes to give himself a chance.
Winner: Liddell by KO.

Matt Serra vs. Yves Edward
This should be a great one. I don't see Yves hanging with Serra on the ground but I don't see Serra having a chance exchanging strikes with Yves. I think Yves will kick his legs out.
Winner: I'd like to see Serra work his ground magic on Yves and get the sub but it will be tough to get him down.

Eugene Jackson vs. Ricardo Almeida
Almeida too good of a grappler and Jackson not fast enough to catch him with a punch.
Winner: Almeida by sub.

Fabiano Iha vs. Din Thomas
Winner: Iha by armbar. He's in a must win situation and won't foul this one up.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Tito gets upset.

Don't know why... just got a weird feeling.

Lightbulb

DeSouza over Nakao - Decision
Iha over Thomas - 3rd round submission(Leg)
Almedia over Jackson - 1st round Submission(Armbar)
Serra over Edwards - 2nd round Submission(Triangle/Armbar)
Liddel over Bustamante - Decision (Close fight)
Menne over Castillo - Strikes 2nd round
Pulver over Hallmen - Strikes on ground 1st round(not even close)
Tito over the Janitor - Controversial Decision

The Brazilians are on a roll except for Bustamante who runs into a very game Liddel.
Pulver puts on an incredible performance and raises his game to new levels.
Iha bloodied up for 2 rounds but mounts impressive comeback submission.
Tito takes punishment but retains some control late in the fight to win a split decision.
Then this board erupts in a fury over how the Janitor was robbed.

peace out,

bm
