Texas Mixed Martial Arts is meant to be a portal for the new and exciting sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in the state of Texas. We would like to be the Internet home for Texas MMA fighters, trainers, promoters, and fans alike.

Right now the sport of MMA in Texas is still developing, and it will take a concerted effort to bring full closed-fist regulated MMA (similar to New Jersey and Nevada) to the state. Texas' current Pancrase-style rules with open-hand strikes have proven to be unappealing to the mainstream public, and thus limits promoters' ability to run successful shows. This regulatory situation and its impact on the appeal of MMA in the state has thus far stifled the development of both MMA promotions and fighters in Texas.

It will take a concerted effort to help get modern closed-fist Mixed Martial Arts legislation passed in Texas. This will be the major milestone that will be the first step in breaking out the sport of MMA in the state. This website is devoted to helping the process along, first and foremost by creating a community for everyone in the Texas MMA scene to interact and congregate in.

Trainers and Fighters: Feel free to use our Forums to talk to the public, help with techniques, whatever you like! Shoot us your information and we'll be happy to list you on our TX MMA Schools page and help direct traffic to your school.

Promoters: Running an event? Need fighters? Whatever you've got going on, let us know! We'll list your event on our Events page. We'll also post your event results and photos as well! Get onto our Forums and talk to prospective fighters and fans.

Fans and Practicioners: Use this site! This is your resource to interact with fighters, promoters, trainers, and other fans from the Texas MMA scene. Need info on what schools are in your area? Need tips on throwing that Thai low round kick? Need to find out when the next event is happening? Whatever info you need, get it from our information pages or simply go to the forums where the rest of the Texas MMA scene can help you with what you need. And you might make some new friends, contacts, and training partners while you're at it.

Are you in the Texas scene and have a MMA related product to sell? Let us know! We'll put you in our Local Products pages to help your exposure to the Texas MMA scene.

EVERYONE: Give us the lowdown! Any news you have on the scene in Texas, whether it's on events, what is going on with the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation, new schools, or whatever it is, as long as it has to do with the sport, LET US KNOW. We would be happy to put it up on our News page to help everyone stay better informed.

Just remember, support the sport! MMA in Texas, just like our website, will only be as good as what you contribute to it.

It actually is the best coverage of the UFC I've seen on the internet so far. Props to the website.
