Default Big Thanks to Carlson Gracie Jr!!!

I've been away on business for awhile, so this is a belated post.. but I would like give a big "OBRIGADO!" to Carlson Gracie Jr.

My wife, kids, and I were visiting my parents near Cincinnatti, and visited "Junior" at his school. He couldn't have been a nicer guy. He played w/my kids, and we must have talked for 20 minutes before we started my private.

For anyone in the Cincinnatti area, do yourself a favor and see Junior in Reading (a suburb or Cinci).

Special thanks to Hura who put me in touch w/Junior!

Sweep,

Not like my game is so good that it needs "fine tuning" (major overhauling is more like it!) But it amazes me that in techniques we "know" that small details we miss make all the difference.

Junior worked w/me on escaping side control. It was excellent.

BTW, I asked him about his "boat story". He thought it was funny. It really broke the ice (baddah bing!).

HA!
I'm glad that you brought it up.
There are DOZENS of stories about Jr. and he weird, unpredictable situations he gets in.

Its always a lot of fun training then going out to dinner afterwards with Jr. and getting him a bit drunk and he starts to tell some wild stories. Always good entertainment.

Oh, by the way, Rey is recuperating from surgery done on his wrist. It got pretty bad and so he had surgery on it last week and I saw it tonight and his wrist is still really swollen. I am also on the sidelines with many others. I jacked my shoulder on Friday night. I went to train on Tuesday and also Thursday, thinking that I would be very careful and not injure my shoulders any more but NOPE. Oh well, I did take tonight off.

Give Rey and Hura a call to say Howdy!
