Talking

Thanks alot man. I checked that out last night and found the school you were talking about but the owner was trained by Carlos Gracie Jr. and some other Gracie I had never heard of .I'm still going to go check it out though. I can't wait to start training with a black belt.

Again thanks alot, I appreciate it.

Bro,

Glad to hear that you found the school that I was attempting to describe rather poorly. Its pretty hard when all I had heard was 2nd hand.

A brown belt at our school - Aron - trained there for 3-4 years and really like the teacher and the school. He said that the teacher was a world class BJJ competitor when he was a bit younger.

Once his children were born, his wife wanted to move somewhere safer than Rio, so they wound up in NH! And he has a full time job as an engineer or something, so he must run the school because he likes to, b/c he doesnt need the money. I think that is a good sign!

Anyway, congrats in finding the school and let us know how your first few classes go.

Unhappy

Easy,
I dug a little deeper and found that the school I was looking at is just opening. It is a branch from Boston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BBJJ of Manchester). I think it is different than the one you are talking about. If you are still in contact with your friend could you please ask him where the school is so I can check it out? If you were right and he said the instructor learned from Carlson Sr. I would much rather go to that school. If it's going to be a big pain in the ass don't worry about it but I apreciate the help.

Dude,

I spoke briefly with my friend and I was wrong about the state .... He learned in Vermont. Sorry about that. The town is Burlington.

If this is close to you, let me know and I can find out the guy's name.

However, if the new school is taught by a black belt in BJJ, then I am sure it is worth at least visiting. They dont give out these black belts lightly!!! Either way, I would at least stop by this place and see what they have to offer.

E,
Thanks, that clears that up. I heard of the one in Burlington but its a little too far away. I'm still going to check out the one in NH but lf it sucks I think I will reconsider VT since I've heard such good things about it. Thanks alot, you've been a big help. I'll update ya when I get started.
