OT - NASCAR Gear... ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

WTF is up with all the rappers and urban youth busting out the NASCAR garb?!?!?!?!?!

I've noticed lately a lot of urbanites wearing heavy duty, hardcore NASCAR jackets... littered with sponsor patches and corresponding drivers names and numbers.

It just seems kind weird, here are these kids wearing this stuff and chances are they probably don't know a damn thing about the sport. and further more, generally speaking, the typical NASCAR fan isn't exactly the biggest supporter of the urban movement.

what is the story on this phenomenon? am i the only one that doesn't understand this? is this just further confirmation that i am getting old and completely out of touch? (lol)

i just don't get it.

all i know is that i'm gonna go out and have a jacket custom made with a bunch of BJJ sponsor's paches (similar to some of the gi's you see). maybe i'll do it based on royler gracie and all of his past sponsors, starting with Alfaro (hehehehe).

excuse me guys, but i got some researching to do...

Gotta be a Socal thing Karl, cause I haven't seen the kids wearing them in Norcal.

And, I know it can't be the brother's wearing them. Has to be a white boy thing..

keith... the majority have been "brothas". i haven't seen any "urban" white boys wearing them. i'm telling you... it's a freaky thing. maybe it's just because they're loud and "attention getting".

The only place in Oakland where you'll catch me is the colloseum watching ball or hanging with my bro at the police station (he's a cop). Oakland's not one of the best places to hang....

Btw, I'll ask my bro what the latest fashions are for Oakland thugs
