Suggestions to save the forum

If anyone has any suggestions that they feel could possibly save this forum, would you please be so kind as to post them here?

Here are mine:

1. Post it! If an interesting idea passes through your mind, make a thread out of it. Even a high volume of low quality posts filled with mostly mindless drivel might be better than the scanty few posts we have. If you are reading another forum poster's thread and it creates a spark in your brain, post a response.

2. Don't let trolls get to you.

3. Maybe we could start using the Open Access forum like Undergrounders use the Otherground. Better yet, maybe restrictions could be eased up and things could be like they used to be before the forum became so heavily moderated a few years ago. Then again, the moderation issue is up to Tim Moussel and Goddess. I'm just stating my opinion. I just feel that the forum has nothing to lose.

I've been with this forum since the beggining. I kept coming back through the years beacause there were so many differing viewpoints. There would be debates, arguments and fights everyday, there was some negativity, but what it did was make it interesting. Now it seems that everyone here basically has the same viewpoints on fighting. eg. MT and Boxing for standing, Wrestling/Judo/BJJ. There is no controvery no difference and there is no passion. You can only talk about techniques for so long before it gets dry. A solution, I don't know; maybe spark things up by being a little sharper with our wit; Stop being so afraid contoversy and being polite; have an honest opinion and go with it instead of trying not to offend people.

Look at the past people on this forum. Guys like Pit Dog, Darren, Zhoo, Monk, Orion, Masala, J Handy etc. They may have been controversial and even annoying at times but they had an opinion and stuck with it. And best of all they made things interesting.

I think a lot of people left during the last few months because we went off topic with that all those 'Should we bomb the taliban', 'who is really blame for 9-11' etc etc type topics that had nothing to do with martial arts. I think once we get some good, deep martial art discussions on here, (hehe my Brazilian ninjitsu post doesn't help) we'll get some new blood. Screw the people who left, look forward. "I say evolve, and let the chips fall where they may."

Oh, and another thing. Mr. Mousel needs to moderate the board more and get rid of all these people just advertising their site/store that add no content or opinions to the board.

Interesting- Ive posted here in dribs and rabs over the last fewyears. I used to do my posting mainly at ITG since many of the guys were fighters trainers or players. I also got no hassles from the moderators. Not one of my posts was ever edited or deleted. Since ITG was lost, Ive been in here recently and it seems fine. My only comentwoul be to bring in moderators who train or have info that would help the board- .

If I could have one wish granted I would love to get back to the time where Stusskilla was here! where everyone was posting 5 f'n message a day cause we where arguing! When we could not say a bad thing about the gracie or Jiu jitsu!

All the old man whit need you! This forum was the best by far but like all thing it as slow down but plz people post anything let's make this forum #1 again.

I pop back in for the first time in over a year, and I am still being called "annoying." LOL

What ever happened to the guys you mentioned? Do they post any more? Once in a while?

It would be nice to mix it up with Zhoo or Pit Dog once for old times sake.
