Penn vs. Pulver- Pulver claims he's gonna throw down, Penn standup looks better from what little we've seen cuz he KO's everyone so damn fast, anyway, I'll take Penn by submission. Pulver's best weapon is his left hand & I hope Penn's been sparring some southpaws but other than that Penn's ground game is world class and Pulver is mediocre on the ground. Penn by submission in 2nd round.
UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP NAME Bustamante vs. Menne- I was really impressed with Menne and his knees especially. Maybe he'll land one or maybe he'll get an advantage with the rounds, and he has a good grappling on his feet, probably better than Bustamanta's standing grappling, and his conditioning is the best. I think Menne is pretty good on the ground but Bustamante is world class. I would say Menne by decision if it were 3 rounds but this fight will go to the ground sometime unless there is a quick KO and Busta should be able to get a submission on. Busta by arm triangle in the 5th round. UFC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Lidell vs Amar Suloev- This Russian guy has a good record against unknown comp though, supposed to have a lot of kickboxing experience as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he can give Liddell some competition in standup, but I doubt he'll be as well rounded as Chuck. I think in this fight we could actually see Chuck use a takedown and some G & P and maybe even a submission. I say Liddell by ref stoppage. UFC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Ranato Sobral"Babalu" vs. Kevin Randleman- I've only seen pics of Babalu fighting, he had a kimura on someone, I think he trains with Rizzo & Ruas, I'm sure he's tough and I've heard a lot about him. Kevin is due for a win and I think he'll G & P to a decision. UFC HEAVYWEIGHT Ricco Rodriguez vs. Jeff Monson- I've seen Monson at Abu Dhabi. I'm sure he'll take Ricco down, I'm sure Monson is hard to submit but I think Rodriguez might do it after beating on Monson a couple of rounds. Interesting matchup, I'll say Ricco by armbar. UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT Ricardo Almeida"Big Dog" vs. Andrei Semenov- Ricardo just gave me a signed UFC poster of him so I'll pick him..just kidding I just don't know anything about this Semenov guy but I heard he's tough on the UG, I just think Ricardo has tons of potential, awsome low kicks and awsome ground game. I'll pic Almeida by another 1st round submission. Russia has had some alright submission guys like Oleg but in this fight Ricardo will show you why Russia needs to be sent a Gracie representative immediately. UFC WELTERWEIGHT Brennan vs. Castillo- Both are good, I was impressed with Castillo's limited comp against world class fighters that he lasted that long with Menne. I bet Brennan is more well rounded and can win a close fight decision. UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT Eugene Jackson vs. Keith Rockel - Never heard of Keith rockel but has to be good to be in UFC. Eugene is tough & I loved his fight with Alger, I'll pic Eugene by KO. Your pics? |

I'm not as optomistic about Liddel/Suloev. I don't think either will be able to knock out the other and it will probably go to the judges with a decision for Liddel.
Randleman TKO over Babalu Penn over Pulver via Submission Bustamante over Menne via Submission Ricco over Monson via G&P

Good picks. But have you seen Monson's arms? That'll be one tough arm bar. Here's mine:
BJ by ref stoppage. Bustie by arm bar from guard. Lidell by KO Babalu by rear naked. Monson by ref stoppage. I'm throwing darts for the rest. I didn't even know there was a UFC next week. |

After watching the last Pride fight, and the two of the previous three UFC's it is really hard for me to want to spend $35 to see another UFC. I will gladly watch the next pride, but with all the rules and regulations imposed on the fighters, and the sour mismatches I can't see spending the money.
Besides, I can get full reports on the fight right here.... ![]() SZ |

What Up Mac Dawg- You made dam good picks- I pick Brennan a bit faster though- Heisdangeous and trains hard. If he can avoid being hit - He will sub or K.O his man inide of 2.

I'm going to change my Busta/Menne pick to Menne by TKO, I just don't think Busta has anything other than his ground game and Menne should be able to take advantage. Menne is gonna be cornered by Pat Miletich who I bet tells him just to sprawl and brawl and keep busy, even though Menne is better than the average UFC fighter on the ground IMO he still could get tapped, I bet he'll play it safe and try to keep it on the feet. I think he is a better athlete too, but the Top Team has been on fire, I'm actually as interested in this match up as Penn/Pulver, both will be technical fights.
