The forum has been slow for quite some time. Most of the old time veteran posters have lost interest. Not enough contraversy to keep things interesting. Not enough flame wars going on to keep people interested.

Since FCC and Patterson and TracyKarate are scared to post their stupid drivel on here anymore I can't make fun of them.

I sure do miss those guys...

So you teach young boys to wrestle in your basement? Did I read that correctly?

Yes you read it correctly. I teach for free and I think that is pretty genorous. It keeps these kids out of trouble. Don't worry I don't hurt them to bad and they are rarely sore the next day. We mostly just go over techniques and positioning. We never go all out and try to kill each other in training. It's a real friendly enviroment.

Thanks for the info on the forum. I heard it was one of the best, but I guess your explanation makes sense.

This is a great site. I used to read everything long before I started posting. There are some really helpful and intelligent people who post on here and are great for asking questions and debating. Then, of course, there is Patterson. But he got tired of being wrong all the time so he is no longer with us....

That is a great idea. I am going to open up my basement and see if any of the young college girls would like to come learn self defense for free....

As far as training college girls, that's a great idea! Everyone needs to learn self defense and with incidents of college campus assaults on females rising I'd think you'd have a lot of interest.

I have a friend that teaches self defense seminars just for women, for free.
I try to volunteer and help when I can.

you can't imagine the comments we get after class.
Many women have never been taught how to identify and escape dangerous situations and learn to defend themselves with easy tips.
Most have never hit or kicked.
Almost all are surprised how easy it is to learn simple techniques for their self defense.

Awareness of the surroundings are the first in the key to self defense.

if you want to make a major impact on someone's life, teach them self defense so they won't have fear in certain situations.
and if you want to meet some single women, it's not a bad way too......

You're also very right. Most people turn 18 and have no idea how money works, how to make major purchases without being robbed etc etc.... It's amazing how unprepared we are for life when we get out on our own. And your dead on with your comments on self defense.

My dad was a really good fighter when he was young (out of necessity) but never really passed it along. I won't be making the same mistake with my son... I just hope I don't overload him with trying to teach him too much too soon...

I feel it necessary to repost this, incase anyone has any questions about what was going on in my basement. Yes it is a very open and friendly enviorment, and yes I feel we are like family. The only problem I've ever encountered was from a boy who I refused to teach because he was to agressive. Well he got mad a begin to spread rumors and lies about me. But he is a troubled boy who is now in juvenile hall. Believe me I got everything straightened out! Now please no more bullshit!
