My 1rm is 195 - higher than i thougt!
i shot for 185. I did the first workout tonight - i'm keeping my other lifts, and just incorporating the new bench routine. i do squats, bench, and rows on mon deadlift, clean, clean and press on wed and squat, bench and tri's on fri alternating sets and reps It was tough - that last rep burned - the first set was really easy - but it got harder. i'm monitoring my weight too - i'm up to 185 from 180 in the past 2 weeks! We'll see how it goes. This is just week one. |

Be careful.... the workout is designed to rest the other parts of your body while really hammering the bench muscle groups (shoulders, chest, tris). Adding it to your regular workout may be a bit much.
I know you're eager, but take it easy. Rome wasn't built in a day! Also, watch for joint pain in the shoulders, elbows and wrists. You're going to be throwing a lot of iron around and your tendons/ligaments might not be ready for it. It's better to back off a little than not to be able to lift at all. Keep me posted on your progress, and good luck! Regards, SZ ![]() |
