![]() | From: Kalijkd Date: 20-Feb-02 | 12:01 PM the RAW takedown seminar sponsored by howard liu last saturday was excellent. ricco's instruction on the basics were great. he spoke about balance, footwork, weight distribution, and body positioning. and he broke down the moves that were easy to remember and digest. i finally felt like i am learning to do takedowns the right way. the L - movement was eye opening. then vladdy covered the arm drag and various takedowns from there (cool combos). then fernando took over and cover some takedown defenses. the guys were all very cool and after they opened it up for questions. and it was definitely worth the $35. it was a great deal. the 3 hours seminar was chocked full of info. some things i would like to see covered in the future - single leg take downs, head and arm, neck ties, neck snapdown, underhooks, falling down into guard from takedowns. i would also be interested in seeing ricco's groundwork. i heard he is amazing on the ground too. i am looking forward to the next seminar in april. |
