What do you guys think of this idea for an Ultimate Fighting Championship single elimination tournament?

Tank Abbot
vs.
Hugo Duarte

Brad Kohler
vs.
Steve Judson

Scott Morris
vs.
Pat Smith

Paul Herrera
vs.
Gary Goodridge

When I selected the individuals who would be looking for redemption, I tried for individuals who I believe may have been better than they showed.
Do any of you guys think there would be a legitimate chance for any redemption to take place?

The fighter I would most like to see redeem himself is Fred Ettish. If he has altered his training, has been preparing for the last couple of years, and were to come back, I would be his biggest fan. Seriously, if Fred Ettish came back all roided-up with a couple of years of training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu or something like that, and even made a better showing for himself, wouldn't you guys feel better for him? What if he actually challenged Johnny Rhodes to a re-match and beat him, or if he kicked the ********* out of the author of the article in Black Belt magazine who listed him in their Top 10 most influential fights in MMA history? If he did both of those last two things, I would probably get a Fred Ettish T-Shirt made up and wear it once in a while. Maybe I could even start a Fred Ettish Fan Club and sell autographed merchandise. Actually, if he did even one of those things, I would probably do that. If he did both of them, I would probably have to write a book about his life story and name my first child after him (last name even).

Another idea I have is this:

Four man bracket composed of fighters in search of redemption.

Fred Ettish
John Matua
Scott Morris
Paul Hererra

Each individual would be randomly matched against a member of a four man bracket composed of the individuals who beat them in a single elimination tournament. (Johnny Rhodes, Tank Abbot, Pat Smith, and Gary Goodridge)

I think that a Belford(sp?) vs. Couture redemption match
would be exciting.

Maybe even Marco Huas vs. Keith Hackney rematch.

I would really pay to see Fred Ettish rebound, become a
complete fighter and tap out Randleman. Bas Rutten would
have to give Fred tips on how to stop the bleeding though,
and convince the doctors that the 2in. deep cuts on his
face are only superfiscial.

Thumbs up

A Belfort, Couture rematch would be good, and so would a Ruas, Hackney rematch. Belfort and Ruas would both win this time though.
As for Ettish It would kick ass to see him tap out Randleman just because I think Randleman sucks. If Rutten was in his corner that would make it so much better too because Bas is the man.
