Hello
,I'm a Newbie on this forum and so I thought as well as saying hi to everyone I would also tell you about the web site that I made about my trip to Thailand. No this isn't spam as I thought it would be relevant to a lot of people here and its not like I'll never post here again. I expect a lot of you people have heard of the Lanna Muay Thai boxing camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Some of you may well have even been there. Well I went there last year and made quite a big site about it. Maybe it could be useful to any Thai Boxers out there. I hope so. Out of interest, how many Thai Boxers post in this section of the forum? I was told that its the main part of the whole forum. Well anyway, just to say hi Dave Dave's Trip to Lanna Muay Thai |

Hey Bri Thai. Glad you liked the site. I was wondering if you know of Mike Duffy's Knuckles Gym as its in the Manchester area.
As for being a bit long in the tooth, I know how you feel. I mean I nearly am myself as the top Muay Thai fighters tend to peak at about 23. After that its down hill I'm afraid. Oh they can still destroy the normal man on the street (or anyone else really), its just that they can't keep up with the stamina of against a youthful Thai fighter. Peace

I'm a long long way down that hill..........but this is the web site of my instructor www.maxt.co.uk
He's qualified to teach Muay Thai under Master Toddy, but I moastly train in the grappling classes. Not heard of Mike Duffy's gym I'm afraid. What do you do for shin conditioning? I'm well aware that blocking a good fighters roundhouse will definately hurt......so could do with some tips! |

The best way to condition your shins is simply repetative kicking of bags and pads. It may not seem very quick but over time your body conditions to the constant impact. Any faster methods such as kicking palm trees simply results in injuries. Hope that helped
