from what I understand it's next to impossible to find real ninjitsui. Secondly they were known for hit and run gorilla and mercenary tactics, they didn't earn a rep for their hand to hand, battlefield work.
Sooo while you could learn a trick here or there I would say overall it's worthless and would probably do more harm than good. BJJ, boxing, wrestling or muay thai would all by themselves be better. |

Example 1: Ninjutsu man and boxer have agreed to fight in order to determine which art is superior. Boxer is in the gym, working the heavy bag. Suddenly, he can't breath, turns purple and keels over. The paramedics are called but by the time they arrive, the boxer has long since given up the ghost and the paramedics puke when they see his contorted face and his swollen tongue sticking out of his mouth. The autopsy reveals that someone put contact poison inside his bag gloves. Ninjutsu man wins by assassination. Example 2: Ninjutsu man and boxer have agreed to fight in order to determine which art is superior. They meet in the ring and the Ninjutsu man adopts his fighting stance. The boxer tentatively dances around the Ninjutsu man, throws a few probing jabs, then enters with a jab-cross combination which the Ninjutsu man blocks with his face. Boxer wins by knockout. Example 3: Ninjutsu man and boxer have agreed to fight in order to determine which art is superior. They meet in the ring and the Ninjutsu man adopts his fighting stance. The boxer tentatively dances around the Ninjutsu man, throws a few probing jabs and as he enters with a jab-cross combination, the Ninjutsu man steps back while drawing and cutting with his Ninja-to. The boxer gazes down in horror at his bifurcated body as blood splatters his corner man. His cut-man realizes that he should've brought a LOT more cotton swabs and band-aids. The referee doesn't know quite what to make of this unprecedented event but one menacing glare from the Ninjutsu man convinces him to declare the Ninjutsu man the new undisputed champion in his weight class. Ninjutsu man wins by cutting boxer in half. Example 4: Ninjutsu man and boxer have agreed to fight in order to determine which art is superior. At the press conference, the boxer and his entourage verbally abuse Ninjutsu man and bum-rush him and someone bites off his ear. Ninjutsu man bravely attempts to fight back but he is dragged outside by the mob and curbed. Boxer wins by entourage mass attack. |

Actually I think the scenario is more likely to go like this:
The ninja is sitting in a bar with his girlfriend, drinking a zima, when a guy in his early 20s, about 6'2, 200 pounds, starts making fun of the ninja's haircut. So the ninja tells the guy to **** off, and that gets him mad so he gets in the ninja's face and threatens to beat him up. If the ninja backs down now, he will appear to be a wimp in front of his girlfriend, and wimps turn his girlfriend off. It makes her not want to have sex. So the ninja gets up and begins to use his ninjitsu against this bully. Assuming the bully knows no martial arts, what happens next? |

Example 5: Ninjutsu man and boxer have agreed to fight in order to determine which art is superior. Boxer dances and jabs, then crosses and knocks Ninja out. Ninja says "It's not fair. My art died out hundreds of years ago and, in any case, any claims of it's effectiveness were massively exaggerated." Boxer wins, because that's what a proven fighting art will do against a bunch of pyjama wearing wankers in silly one toe'd slippers.
