BJJ is in all NHB. Every person who enters these events is training in many aspects of BJJ. I have friends who are supposed "boxers" and "Strikers", and many wrestlers. These guys say they do not want anything to do with BJJ, but they sure know triangles, armbars, ect. In most of the fights I watched in high school, college, and on the streets people ended up on the ground, whether this is good or bad, it sure helps to have experience here. Most of the positions that people work for in BJJ are the dominant striking positions in NHB. I remember when a new student asked Royce what if he punched at him when Royce had the armbar..........you can figure what he said, but the lesson was striking from inferior positions is a losing proposition if your opponent is also striking and has experience. We train with a few collegiate wrestlers and I will tell you trying to strike and not be taken down is extremely difficult. The ground may be inevitable, and it may not be your choice. By the way BJJ is ineffective and does not work.

Cool

[By the way BJJ is ineffective and does not work.]

Good sarcasm!

One good point is that all you people who train to fight how you WANT to fight, just think about it, you cannot always CHOOSE and often will not be in control of the dynamic of the fight, so train for what WILL happen (most likely) and what DOES happen, not just how to fight when the situation suits you!
