Default DragonBall Z Ju-Jitsu

I was recently at UFC.tv as saw that a fighter uses a style call DragonBall Z Ju-Jitsu!

Now Ive seen the show, But I would like some info on the style. Anything would help.

To see more about this fighter (Carlos Newton) click the link below.

Do any of you do DBZ JJ?

Default DBZ JJ?

i've watched the show DBZ ( i think that's what you might be referring to) and i've never really seen anything i could outright say "that's Jiu Jitsu." i dunno if this guy flies around the ring and near the speed of light smashing his opponents throw solid concrete or what. i think this guy just likes the show.

Default Probably

I'd say so. I would thinks that its just Ju-Jitsu but with maybe a flashy dance or something to celebrate. Gathering from the pics.

But thats only my opinion, does any one have anything else to say.

Newton is a big fan of the show and he pays tribute to the show by doing a Dragon ball Z " fireball" celebration when he wins... or " kame hame ha" in Japanese.... pretty cool cos when he celebrates in Pride... the Japanese crowd shouts the words out together with him!

gotta love the Japanese crowd...

it's not a style, fighter. it's just something he does at the end. a little "victory dance" thing.

DBZ JJ - Its just what he calls his style of fighting. The DBZ comes from the stupid bullshit that he does when he wins.

His Skills are remincent of BJJ because he has great groundwork and submissions skills... He probably studied other forms of ground fighting too. too bad he wasn't strong enough to defend against Matt Hughes GROUND AND POUND.

Default Sorry

I dont want to offend anybody by saying this.....But DBZ is S***. If it was actually realistic it would be cool but it stinks.
