    Default What Fun!

I got myself a floor to ceiling ball today! Wow, I haven't had so much fun in my garage gym for ages.

This thing is amazing. Almost impossible to give it a clean hit, but it manages to hit YOU BACK! It should sharpen my boxing/elbowing skills up no end.

I still love the bag work, and the weights. But that floor to ceiling ball has got to be the number one.

If you get the chance to use one, go for it. They're awesome.

I still love the bag too, but she hates it when I refer to her in such a manner....

Do you have a picture of what you're actually talking about?

    Thanks,

    SZ

it's the bag that's about the size of a basketball, right? got two elastic ropes, one from the floor and the other from the ceiling, and it just flies everywhere. Those things are amazingly difficult to nail well.

Yep, that's right. Do yourselves a favour and get one, they're ace.

    Sounds terribly frustrating...

it develops dexterity. I have a ghetto-fied tool that works on the same priciple. It's a small ball hanging from a string from the ceiling, and I have to hit it fast. It's quite a workout, the damn thing flying all over...

Is it more fun to work out with than a grappling dummy?

it's a different principle. I guess it depends on choice....if you feel that you need more passive grappling practice, then do the dummy. But the ball is better for improving speed and accuracy.
