![]() | Having looked through the member list, this forum was obviously at one time well populated and enjoyed by intelligent MArtists I have come across on other MA Net Forums. Why then do you tolerate the corrosive posting of these 12 year old kids like Rorny Gracie, Dragonkick etc. Any old members here still hanging on by the skin of their teeth? Check in here, and let's get these parasites off the boards.......for good! |

![]() | I agree with you. I have a fundamental respect for the freedom of expression. But what we have been observing lately crosses the line into the category of infantile vulgarity. However, I am a new moderator on this forum and to date my focus has been on Thai Boxing portion of the site. On that portion of the board I have deleted a couple of threads and posts where they seemed very far out of line. Terry |

![]() | do you mean people of a certain age or just certain members? it is the young people starting up in these sports who need advice from the more experienced members. i am new as you can probably tell, but i think that the forum is a great way to find out more about these martial arts. |

For young people starting out in the arts to get advice from a forum like this, there have to be members with experience in the arts. There are unlikely to be experienced members on the forum, if behaviour like I have witnessed here continues, as they will vote with their feet, if they haven't already. I was in fact referring to the apparent mental age of these destructive members. These people have no interest in helping or informing anyone, merely destroying the continuity of the forum. Thanks | |

![]() | Jonbird, I was talking about online conduct that is inappropriate. It wasn't my intention to put down anybody of any age. I'm hoping my own kids will take an interest in martial arts someday. Tim, Thanks. I haven't talked to you about your philosphy or guidelines for deleting posts. We can discuss it offline. Terry |

![]() | It seems like a lot of people bailed during the Godess versus JoJitsu227 war....... Man, that dates me....

![]() | I'd suggest that forumites like Sweepem and Yella Tiger be made moderators to help spread the workload. Even when these guys get into heated debates, they still seem to keep things civil. This forum is way to big to have just two or three moderators. Listen to me. So much for my bid to join the ACLU.... SZ |

![]() | Hey Guys, If I've learned one thing this year, it's that 'if a forum is worth posting on, it's worth fighting for. You can't expect sensible replies to your posts if you don't reply sensibly to others. You can't expect support against insulting and childish posting, if you don't support others. You can't expect a forum to care about it's member base if you dissapear to another forum as soon as someone posts something you don't like. Defend the forum, and it'll defend you. Post meaningfully on the forum, and you'll find other people posting in a similar fashion, and everyone benefits. Trolls........Get the hell out of Dodge! |

![]() | ah right, i understand you now. I think the forum is great, very beneficial to me just starting kickboxing. Well i think anybody with limited experience has a lot more than i do. i have read some of the posts and now actually see what you are talking about, I am not sureif this is one of the cases but one inparticular ended up a heated argument about september 11. |

![]() | Wow, somebody cares! I was beginning to wonder . . . I don't even partake in threads whose intentions are flagrantly derogatory or inflammatory. But some few of them are honest attempts at good humor (whether you agree with their expression of it or not). However, these are few and far between. Some of the folks on this board are just out to destroy it, it seems. Thanks, admins!
