Fernando Vargas vs Oscar De La Hoya:
TKO in the 11th round. At the end of the 10th round, De La Hoya knocked down Vargas with a left hook. At the beginning of the 11th round, De La Hoya didn't press it but midway, started to do body shots for the set up and got Vargas in the corner and could barely block De La Hoya's punches and was stopped by TKO....... Impressive win for De La Hoya tonight. [unofficial count had De La Hoya ahead at the end of round 11 by one point.] Early rounds, Vargas was strong but De La Hoya came back. |

I thought Oscar looked very confident the entire fight. Vargas bullied him around early on with his "superior strength", but tired badly the last half of the fight. Too bad for him and the thug life he represents! Julio, don't soil your rep by hanging with wannabe gang banger douche bags!

Vargas is an ass. He got what he deserved. DeLaHoya is a much better boxer anyway. I'd like to see DeLaHoya and Trinidad again. I think DeLaHoya won that first fight but I guess others don't.

The Delahoya/Trinidad fight was a joke. Oscar EASILY did what he needed to do to win a one-sided decision, only to have it stolen by corrupt/incompetent judges! Anyone who could rationalize a victory for Felix knows nothing about how to score a boxing match.
