This is about guns? I thought this was a letter from all the children the ATF burned up in Waco! Koresh was a real danger wasnt he? Hell all those children deserved to die. Thats what they get for exercising the freedom of religion. If you want to see a great documentary I recommend "Waco Rules of engagement" It shows the infrared footage of the ATF setting the fires inside the compound. At the end it shows all the childrens burned and charred body. After that I am a big fan of the ATF.

While some of you are busy loading up the Ryder truck, let me correct Ryu: Japan in no way has a comparable murder rate to the U.S.

BTW I am offically neutral in the gun debate, but wanted to correct that error.

Tony, I didn't say Japan had a comparable rate. It doesn't.
All I said is that it still does have murder. But not nearly as high as the US.

But be careful a little, sometimes Japan has a problem reporting certain crimes too. But the crime rate does not compare to the US.

I think you guys misunderstood me a little. Japan is extremely small compared to the US so you have to take that into consideration. BUT even if you compare it to say a state like california (similar in size) you still get higher murder and crime in the US state.

But again, don't take that as any gospel revelation.

Have you been hitting the rock again? Don't believe everything you see on a video. Who made that video? There is no conclusive evidence that the FBI set those fires. The Branch Davidians had illegal .50 machine guns and killed 4 ATF agents. Koresh strung the FBI along for two months before they went in. The guy was balling his devotees' wives and young teenage daughters. Personally, I think he started the fire. Should the FBI have waited? Sure, but hind-sight is 20/20. The children were innocent victims.

You don't have to leave a gun out for a kid to get at it. Kids aren't retarded, they find ways to get into things they aren't supposed to. Instead of placing blame on the parents for having a hobbie, and/or caring about their families protection, you should place the blame on the parents for not raising the kids right. Our societies lack of morales these days that is making this country such aviolent place not the existance of guns.

As for your theory about machetes and auto guns I agree. That is why those types of guns should be locked up when not in use. you do not need an AK for protection from a burglar, just keep a pistol out for your protection. If someone gets ahold of that they aren't going to wipe out dozens of people with it.
