tlc top 10 MA's

I can't believe these people. I know this show has been on before but i didn't get to see it when it first came on. BJJ is number 10. Kung fu is number 1. What a bunch of morons.

You have to listen to their reasons. The show wasn't called "top 10 most effective martial arts."

Kungfu (Shaolin, actually) was #1 because it helped spawn much of the far east's martial heritage. That's all, really. It was a show of respect to an elder, basically.

At first, I was annoyed that Kali was only #9 (if memory serves), but I got over it

Here's a great review on that TLC martial arts special. I must admit it was worth watching just to see the real Goju ryu training in Japan

Ah yes, the age old standard. I wish that we could recognize that NHB is what it is, mainly NOT NHB. See also my 'Thunderdome' arguments!

Well, I would hope an MMA fighter would win an MMA contest.
