Question Mauy Thai

Since reading the posts on this forum I have become very interested in Mauy Thai, but as luck would have it no schools in my area only claims to base 80% of their style on this art. Yet every thing I have researched on Mauy Thai says it either Mauy Thai or not. Any other suggestions

Contrary to what a lot of the people on this board say, Muay Thai is definitely not the only effective MA out there. Just try what's around your area (as long as it isn't TKD) and figure out if YOU like it. That's all that matters. If you're benefiting from it, stick with it. If it sucks, go somewhere else! But if you're a starter, go to a Karate school...if you have been training for a while, go to some other form that takes more dedication.

One suggestion. If you're interested in Muay Thai and are located in Georgia you can go to the following URL: http://www.thaiboxing.com/tba-schools.php

Then scroll down to Georgia (it is organized alphabetically by state) and look at the schools in Georgia. Even if you're not in range of these guys you can call them up on the phone and they may be able to give you more tips on the local scene for Muay Thai. Maybe you can arrange something that works for you.

Good Luck,

Terry
