K, more info. The tournament is an oppen tournament, for any style. The rules are Hapkido rules. Not available yet. If you want to compete and don't know how to break your fall then this will not prevent you from getting thrown. I would sugest that anyone who would like to compete, learn and practice breakfalls. And from at least waste hight. The only throws that I know of that I know are illegal are ones that prevent the ability to break your fall. More info to come.

What's "Hapkido Karate" anyways?

Hapkido a totally different art than Karate.

My teacher just named the association that in the 70s becouse no one had a clue what Hapkido was. When you say karate they know that you are talking about a martial art. So basically its just called hapkido karate for the non martial artist so they know that we are a MA.

Post the rules!

Instead of nhb, it should be Hapkido MMA. When people say nhb it gives me wood....
