Please do yourself a favor and watch James Toney tonight on ESPN2 at 6pm pacific time. He is a defensive wizard,but not like Pernell Whitaker or a young Camacho. More like Wilfred Benitez or any number of fighters from the 30's thru the 60's. He shoulder rolls and counterpunches. I have been a huge fan since he beat Merqui Sosa on espn before he fought Michael Nunn. He truly is a beautiful fighter to watch.

I dealt blackjack to Toney once a few years ago.Very nice guy,polite,and accesible.I will be watching.

he's from my hometown, but isn't he a washed up has-been? I mean he lost the title YEARS ago, right?

Toney is a throw back fighter from the old days. Very good defensive fighter and a student of the game. I particularly do not like how he sometimes has problems with his weight like when he fought Jones jr. A fight against Jirov would be awesome because Vassily has an good offense while Toney counters excellent. By the way I think the Light Heavy weight and cruiserweight division is getting little bit exciting while Gomez, Jirov, Tiozzo. I think it was an mistake for Roy Jones to move down in weight.

By the way Bird do not forget that Mosley is fighting Saturday and Lewis vs Tua is almost here.

I agree jimmy, I hate Lennox but unless Tua lands the lucky punch he has no chance.

Toney won by KO in the 3rd round I believe. It was a rightcross that ended the fight
