Default Advice on Gracie School

Hello all. I'm new here and wanted some opinions on a Gracie School. It is called Ralph Gracie school in Placentia, CA.

I was looking for a new school to attend since my old school Caique in Carson was just too far for me to drive to (especially during rush hour)

I loved the way Caique taught his classes as he had gi and no-gi classes.

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of Ralph Gracie or his school and how good it is.

I've heard that the Gracies don't seem to want to teach "everything" but if that is so, I really don't care as I'm still a beginner and need the basics first anyway. Thanks

Hello,

I was wondering if you found a bjj school to train at yet? I too am looking for a school in that area. I have checked out a few and am still deciding. At the moment, my first choice would be Gracie Barra OC. Only thing I dislike is class starts a little too late 7:40pm. I get off work at 5pm (in Fullerton) and live in corona. I really dont want to stick around for 2 hours and 40mins just for class. Please let me know if you found a good school. Thanks

JKD Silat. I answered you post on the other thread. It talks about Ralphs school as run by Brad Jackson. Tinguinha is a good teacher but I will challenge both of you to train with them and then train with us at Ralphs and go with the one you like. Both offer free classes. Brad lives in Corona also btw.

Ralphs is a great school and I highly recommend it. Read the Ralph Gracie school thread to get a run down on it.

We never hold back at our school and neither does Ralph at any of his schools. We teach everything from the beginning.

HKPHOOEY do you remember Lawyer Mike from Caiques?? He teaches one of our kids classes and is a purple under Caique. He also takes privates with Brad. Brad believes Jiujitsu is to be shared not held to those with a last nameof gracie.
