I would suggest that this, what you have presented is not Karate. It is indeed the bastardized Kommercial brand of Korotty!

Does anyone know what the South Korean marines train in? I'll wager that it's not TKD, at least not the same TKD you can get at the mall.

I don't know....I was at the mall over the weekend (Christmas shopping and all) and there were about 10,000 South Korean marines there at the mall directory looking for the TKD place. Sorry....just kidding.

I think that is a very good point. So many of the traditional MA's are not traditional at all. Meaning that, yes they have existed for centuries, but not in the form that they exist at the mall.
