Real response for Koruptor on Capoiera

Dude,
Let me tell you that the stuff is really very good!
I can't remember the names but there are two kinds of Capoiera..its like Angola and another one. But one kind is very showy with all the stuff you saw on the movie only the strong. The other one is very street. and man it works!

They fight from what they call..negativa, which is basically the position that you are in when you do the gracie ground kick and stand up thing..in fact, that move is actually capoiera. Not suprising considering the gracies are from brazil.

But they have a hell of a lot more than ju that from the negativa position. They have good hard leg kicks, great sweeps and actual practical head kicks..even takedowns.

It is a very good art to mix with BJJ. I highly reccomend that you check it out if you can.

the other style is regional. .. it has more ground based stuff, like sweeps.. angolo has more aerial stuff.

Thats very interesting. Is there a websight or anywhere I can get info on the effective style of Capoeira?

Hey, I know the kungfuonline is usually ridiculed in this board, but I do know that there are a few caporiea practitioners on that board. I know for sure that a guy under the name of Tien Long (Means Sky Dragon or Heavanly Dragon. Just an interesting note) does caporiea. Not sure, but I have heard quite a few other guys on the board mention that they practice caporiea.

l really like the areial stuff look fantastic

l think it looks really fun to do as well.

I have this thing for "underdog" martial arts
not to say capoeria is inferior to others
l am just interested in the less talked about MA
any one like AIKIDO??????
