Fist What UP?

In all of our badmouthing, we've attracted Ninjas and Karate Sensei's, and TKD Black Belts to the forum.

If that logic holds true, we should start bad mouthing the Gracie clan to see if we can get them to show up and kick some ass.

Then after kicking everyones ass', we'll have a photo op and refreshments. Bitty makes a mean Hagus!

Smile

I have to confess - it was all the TKD slamming that got me hooked on this forum!

At first all I wanted to do was leap in and defend TKD, but have realised after following several threads that what I am practising is probably no longer TKD due to the amount of cross training we do.

Keep up the (semi) intelligent discussion - it makes people sit back and think about what they are doing!

I just hope one day to have a cool avatar and signature just like the "big boys" - one that commands respect and instills fear into veterans and newbies alike!

Royce's career as a fighter is over! Even judo guys kick his ass. Rickson is old when he farts, dust goes flying off his ass. Helio is a walking corpse!

Yes, Royce got beat by a judo player. One of the best in the world. He could probably drop you on your ass as soon as look at you. They haven't removed everything useful from Judo yet.

Not true. It used to have strikes and a lot more choking going on. Maybe not much less ring effective, but Judoka were reputed for being excellent strikers with the edge of their hands (one of the nastiest strikes in the book).

Yes, it still does have strikes, but they are rarely taught. It also used to have leg locks and wrist locks etc.. The leg locks specifically were removed from competition Judo around WW II due to the number of injuries fronm those techniques.

Wow. Absolutely right. I'm more than a little surprised that someone knew the history behind Judo and it's evolution. Good post.

Grape Ape, maybe I forgot to mention that I've been to 3 judo classes. I know 2 throws. Come on now. You really think Royce could drop me on my ass with the 2 throws that I know? I don't think so buddy.

He might be able too unless you're older and larger than an eight year old girl.

I should also mention that I've mastered Sakuraba's ultra double decker mongolian chop.

But seriously... Sakuraba laid a huge beatdown on those gracie chumps.
