Fist Clearing the Air

Or as my wife would stipulate 'Airing out the Loo after the old man leaves a grumpy'

I like to poke fun, as do my fellow forum monkies, at the more interesting martial arts such as Taekwondo, Karate and Ninjitsu. However, there are no sacred cows on this forum. Hence the appeal to the common man, or woman, or gangster (read Don Guiseppe)

Realizing that all martial arts stem from the same biomechanical foundations and from similar philosophical needs, when you pick on one art you tend to pick on the whole.

The particluar art I study is not the 'best' in the world, but it works really well for me. The approach is one of balance in lieu of speed, power, chi conductivity or what have you. In the past 4 plus years of training I have been taught the basic, intermediate, and now unto the advanced aspects of our particular discipline.

The strikes we use stem from Chinese Chaun Fa and Korean Tae Kyon origins. The exercises and meditations from from Chi Kung. The grappling methods stem from Japanese Jiu-jutsu and Chinese Chin Na.

Truly an amalgomated art, every single technique we have comes from more organized and traditional art forms of the East and of the West. We also incorporate into our intermediate and advanced training such concepts as Judo, Hapkido, Ninjitsu, Kendo and the ever popular Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

To sum up our philosphy in my own words, 'Preserve the self using reliable principles adaptable to any situation.'

This phrase brings me to the point of this vociferous thread. We poke fun at Karate, Ninjitsu, Taekwondo and arts of like kind not because of any flaws inherent in the systems but for the glaring inconsistencies and closed minded approaches of the ever quoted Virtual Tough Guys (TM Sharp Phil's Blades of Death Dojo).

My system is far from the most deadly, most powerful, most secret, or most efficient combat system on the face of the planet. And, I hate to break it to you, neither is yours. Therin lies the problem.

Those who show up on the forum to defend their fantastical arts or worship their idealogical demigogues should pack a lunch, for we here at Mousel's Deluxe Martial Arts Forums are skeptical, cynical, and packed to the brim with Anonymous Internet Bravado.

Sincerely Yours,

Szczepankiewicz the Defenddotnetter

I am the ultimate virtual tough guy .. my ultimate karate power is above all, I only need train once a week to defeat any other style except for prayingmantis on hillside beside the elephant style.

My wrists are floppy this where I draw my strenght.

Maybe I should change me avatar to a sheep! The only things backwards about New Zealand is we call Jello, Jelly and Jelly, Jam. In NZ a fanny is not your bum .. its much ruder :P. And we spell color, colour .. and babys babies. Oh and we use the logical metric system for $$$ and Weight, and distance/speed/temerature .

Oh .. and I think we drive on the other side of the road from the USA.
