hello,

yes yes yes yes. this has been said to death. thank the gracies. thank the gracies. thank the gracies. thank the gracies. thank the gracies. and make sure to do it forever. everyday.

y'know, most who instruct don't give a lesson with the caveat "thou shalt thank the gracies". if a fighter learns, they learn. it is thiers now. unless heliogracie has a patent we don't know about.

give it a rest already.

thanks.

It takes a certain bravery to put your own son in the frame, and a certain style to know he will win.

All credit to the Gracies. I do hope they stop the rot and take the sport out of Gracie Jiu Jitsu before it is too late. Otherwise Rickson's grandson might find himself going for points just before he gets beat (no disrespect intended).
hello,

so.... let's get this straight.... ricksongracie displayed courage and sound judgement by pitting a 14 year old rocksongracie against an assailant of unknown capability?

either ricksongracie is a fool, or it was a setup.

thanks.

hello,

Every respect to Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The whole martial arts world has dramatically improved because of its great techniques and strategy. But it does not have all the answers.

very well. guess it has nothing to do with the fact that fights are sanctioned regularly all over the world now. guess it has nothing to do with the fact that students and instructors alike are actually looking to improve.

the martial arts world got up off its collective ass and started training. when weapons matches are finally sanctioned, the gracie worshippers will instead kneel at the altar of dogbrothers and sayoc.

thanks.

hello,

back to the point of this thread. there is one thing that will make you better at streetfighting.

one guess.

it is unfortunate, but there are those among us who are exceedingly "good" at it.

they are not alive because they were the best or toughest. they are the best or toughest, because they are the ones that are still alive.

it is that simple.

speculation is healthy, in a sense. but there is only one way you will really know.

thanks.
