I read in some MMA website that Takada's fight against Igor V. was oviously not a WORKED fight. Can someone explain how Takada has been so synonymous with worked fights. Is this something that us fans are saying or is this been officialy said in some legitimate platform?

I have not seen Takada fight before, and I know he is not anywhere near the best in the sport today but he has defeated Coleman before. I guess my question is why would anyone participate in a worked matched. There seems to be no benefits from it at all. And from what people are saying Takada seems not to get any respect at all. And another question I have " is there any other high profile bouts that have been worked?" if so which one's.

I'm not an expert, but Takada was a pro-wrestler in Japan, and was a hero to lots of fans. He is not a good a fighter as some of his opposition so he doesn't have a good record. In order to make Takada look like the hero he was in his pro-wrestling days, the promoters try to fix fights so that his wins can draw a bigger crowd.
Some fighters do it ( I think Coleman was one of them) and some don't.

    That's about all I know
