I've had my fair share of bruises, black eyes and broken bones. That just comes with part of the territory.

abviously he didn't know enough to take you on.
it seems to me that you have only had one or two experiences with a martial artist. then you say that martial arts itself is bullshit.
when was the last time you took a class. and even if that guy was a black belt in BJJ you can't say martial arts in general is bullshit because you havn't fought any other martial artist.

Funny you should mention this. Where I went to college there was a guy from Thailand who was an amateur fighter over there. He had to quit due to a severe leg injury he recieved while in the ring. So he came to the US and teaches Muay Thai for fun (all he asks is that whoever shows up help pay for the rental of the aerobic room at the local gym). Anyway, this guy would occasionally get drunk out of his gourd and pick fights with up to four of the college football players and totally demolish them and the bouncer who got in his way. He's a whole 150lbs, taking on up to five guys (including a foolish bouncer) and winning. And he was just an amateur who has not actually fought in a ring or been actively training for years.

i agree with Bigbodybuilder. i am a martial artist and therefore a fighter. and i respect good fighters anyway they come no matter how they got those skills. in fact...it sounds like this guy got his they best way through real life street fights. if a guy can kick butt then he has the right to call himself a fighter...if he can beat someone who has had years of martial arts training then its all good baby. silly me...i have to train and fight for hours and hours each week just to get good.

the point is...if you can fight...youre cool with me. some of you MA guys whos motto is "whatever works" should take tips from this guy...find out how he wins his fights and learn it yourself. a good street fighter is not to be messed with and im sure they all have "techniques" or "stratagies" if you wanna call 'em that.

peace

and hey Bigbadbuilder, dont let the angry little BJJ/JJ guys get to ya!

Ahh man I'd love to go to that. I think it would be fun even if I got my ass kicked. Unfortuntatly I work on the weekends and it would be very hard for me to get up to NJ since I'm from the south. If they had one near where I live I'd definitely go.

I've fought several martial artists over the years, don't know the extent of their experience but they were martial artists. They really didn't faze me. You can't overcome raw power with something you learned in training. I've never had training in martial arts. I did train with a professional boxer for awhile though.

Sure. Monkeyboy.

How's that?

Get a life you immature punk. Acting like an adult simply revolves around discussing steroids? Move out of your mom's basement. There's a much larger world out there.

No, the true test of maturity is whether or not you belong to a judo-chop board, where you post at length about some guy no larger than Yoda named Bung Ho Lee, who can single handedly devastate the entire offensive line (first, second, and third string) of any NFL football team, in full pads and armed with flaming nunchaka, while drunk, stoned, and with one hand tied around his three balls, by utilizing the ancient art of stink-finger, taught to him by his 162 year-old great, great, great Grandfather, Kok Hang Low, who still lives to this very day, levatating from temple to temple in the full-lotus, absorbing nutrients from the air and using the stink-finger to overthrow governments who legalize steroid use from his home, constructed from the rib bones of all his defeated foes, in the land of Yank Mei Wang.
