not just the fact that grabbing leaves you, in my opinion, more open then any other move. Most shirts will just rip if you grab and pull em. Then youll be off balance, wondering what the hell your gunna do next, while getting your arse beat.....good luck ![]() sweaters ...maybe, but that still doesn't change the fact that you "waisted" your first movement on grabing instead of striking, or running ![]() (the guy wasnt' trying to throw me, i was backing off, and he tried to stop me) Last edited by Kingston; 01-31-2003 at 08:32 PM. |

platinum_angel, no suprise that you're a guy. 99.9999999999 percent of this forum is made up of men.
Now if this were a TKD forum, half of it would be women.

given the poor selection and your criteria id say judo...Pai Lum Tao looks pretty chop socky and aikido will load you up with spiritual crap. judo justs gives you straight techniques from the start no yin/yang stink finger mumbo jumbo.

Personally I would go with Pai Lum Tao. Judo is a sport, if you try to adhere to judo rules and such on the street you'll be out cold
Or dead.As with Aikido I wouldn't have anything to do with it. There are many people in my highschool band that practice Aikido and they really suck at fighting. In fact that is what makes my day at school, they get a big Aikido ego( which from my knowledge goes against aikido principles) and we go into the batheroom and sparr a bit and I knock that sorry exuse for an ego back down to size. I mean its o.k. to brag if you can back it up. But most Aikido people I have been around are all talk. Again I would study Pai Lum Tao or some other style like Chen Taichi.
