Talking Nah!

The Blind Swordsman is the greatsest fighter ever. Nah, that dude with the flying guillotine. Nope, wait wait, the One Armed Boxer is the greatest. Noooooo, wrong again, the Master Cylinder from Felix the Cat--Yeah Yeah he's the greatest. Oh sh*t I'm sorry, it was Brutis Beefcake or was it Popeye? Come on guys, they are ALL decent fighters. But how can you pick one guy over another. That changes from match to match. Sometimes a guy comes back to defeat the same guy that beat him before. Also, remember centuries ago we had gladiators that fought to the death that would probably put most modern day fighters to shame-you had to be able to kill a man barehanded or with a weapon. You weren't good-you died. What better incentive to be the best fighter of all time. Talk about reality fighting.

Smile Cool kungfuPanda

You put my Sosai, Mas Oyama in there. Not many people know about him. I trained under him when I lived in New York. Cool, really cool. I watched him kick 50 of our asses in one session. He dislocated my left shoulder with a punch(****er still bugs me to this day). We didn't use protcetive equiptment while sparring. Probably not allowed anymore I wouldn't think in this day and age of 'sue crazy 'people. He would also break ROCKS for us. And killed bulls with his bare hands. Great man-Great teacher. Rest in peace my Sosai.

Here are some more pictures of Wang.

The best fighters of the world, Westerners and Easterners, came to challenge him. Amongst them was the famous boxer Jack Dempsey.

Wang Shu-chins strength, his expertise at the martial arts and his ability to absorb direct punches without any apparent ill effect, became a legend amongst martial artists and have been written up in journals and books throughout the world.

Smile Thanx

Actually, my Sosai fought over two hundred challengers from every facet of combat and beat the majority of them in no holds barred combat. He loved to break ribs as many a wrestler will testify to.
There is a website dedicated to him if you want to check it out. http://www.kyokushinmail.com. It won't let you go direct so just click on history-from K. Matsuo in the right top column. There are a few clips of him killing a bull and some sparring. However, it was old 8mil film converted to digital so the quality is not so good.
I like the stuff on Wang too. Such a big solid man--could probably put a real good hurtin' on ya.

Oyama was a truely great fighter. I have huge respect for him.

the video files are excellent.

also found this interesting information:

There is a strong "behind the scenes" relationship between many of the top Kyokushin members and Kenji Sawai, the founder of Taiki Ken. Taiki Ken is an art of Chinese style categorized as an Internal School, as Taichi, Paqua and Xing Yi are. Some Kyokushin schools incorporate training methods of Taiki Ken, such as Ritsu Zen (Standing Zen).

Kenji Sawai is also a great fighter, useing the chinese internal arts to devestating effect. Heart strikes are the speciallity of this school i beleive!!

Cheers
Chris
