This is from ufighting.com and Denis Martins, who are about as reliable as MMA sources get. Sak will fight yet another Gracie *sigh*
From Denis Martins: RYAN GRACIE confirms fight against KAZUSHI SAKURABA. Ryan Gracie's next fight in NHB it is already marked. It will be inside of one and a half month, against the fighter that already defeated three Gracies (Royce, Royler and Renzo). Who thought Sakuraba, is right. Everybody said that the revenge would come through Rickson, even so before, he will face Ryan. "The fight is already confirmed. It will be in Pride 11, also in Japan. It will be a lot "porrada" and, if God wants, I will win", it confirms. --Ryan

If Ryan trains hard enough he can beat Sak.If Ryan loses it will be because he played Sak's game. But i'm not getting my hopes up about Ryan winning. If rickson hopes to fight Sak he needs to sometime soon, according to Don Fry Sak is a few fights from retireing.

Sak should almost certainly win, but, hey, it's a fight, anything can happen! This lessens Ricksons stature even more, in my opinion. 'Nuff said about that!

In his interview Sakuraba said that he wasnīt gonna fight Ryan because he didnīt have any interest on him and that he was too unexperienced. So until Sakuraba announces it I dont buy it.(No point in that fight anyway)

Hey Cooter--
I read that same interview as Quad and Sak did say that Ryan was too green for him to be interested. He clearly implied that the only Gracie he was interested in anymore (they just keep coming!) was Rickson, although he did not mention him by name. If this is true, this is sort of a step back for Sak, don't you think? Beating Ryan--and he will stomp him, IMHO--doesn't really prove much except they're definitely out of Gracies now that can give him any sort of a challenge. Hell, I'd pick Ralph before Ryan (that's not a diss by the way). What do you think is the point of a Ryan/Sak fight?? I don't get it. |

HAHAHAHA!!!!!
Everybody wants to rag Rickson. He's on his own timetable. Takada kept challenging Rickson for something like 2 or 3 years before they fought and Rickson smoked him. He'll fight Sak when he's ready if Pride will let Sak fight him. Hawk |

Its funny how so many gracies are so eager to fight sak and put it all on the line, except rickson. I think they all had a lot to loss, not just rickson. This guy shouldve been stepped in and stop all this nonsense and beat sak already.
Maybe we should all get together put together a large enough purse to get his slow ass in the ring. c |

trust me, there aint gonna ever be "Gracie" to beat Sak.....Ryan, Rickson, Rodrigo whoever.....they cant adjust to Sak's style....
now guys like Henderson, Silva, Shamrock......those are the ones that are worthy of the shots at Sak....(and would have WAY better chances of beating Sak than any Gracie) f**k Rickson and Ryan....what have they done to deserve a shot?? |

My friend, Frank Shamrock is the best active fighter out there in his weight class. He definitly deserves a shot at sak, and I would bet on him to win, but Rickson is not like any other gracie in more ways than one. I myself rolled with renzo, royce, ryan, and rickson, and let me tell you, its like night and day. The control and strength of this guy far exceeds the others, and I had 40lbs on him and have been training martial arts and wreslting since my first ejac, and been training in jj for about 6 years. If you want to say that he's not good enough to beat sak, thats fine, but trust me, he not the same as the other gracies.
