Smile Fabio Santos' BJJ Academy - San Diego

Hello!

I have serious plans to begin training at Fabio Santos' Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in San Diego soon. Has anyone here heard of Fabio Santos? http://www.fabiojiujitsu.com/

Fabio is awesome.
I trained with him for years, when he was an instructor with Royce and Rorion at the Torrance Academy.
Royce and Fabio trained together for years while growing up in Brazil. I know that Helio considers Fabio a part of the Gracie family.
Fabio moved to San Diego and has been there for many years and has produced quite a few great BJJ athletes. Fabio's team always does well in BJJ tournaments.
Not only is Fabio a great instructor, he is also a great person.

I've seen Fabio at many BJJ tournaments and he always told me to come down and train at his school since I will always be his student.

There are many great places to train in San Diego.
You chose Fabio to train with and you can't go wrong.

How much does beginner training cost? I'm going to call later today to get all the information but if you've trained with him, you might be able to give me a ballpark figure.

The last time I trained in any martial art was when I was in kindergarten. My parents took me out of it because I was beating up kids on the playground and getting "special treatment" around the swings. Those were the days...

I don't know how much Fabio charges.

I was in San Diego on business and had to stop by to train since I had been promising Fabio to come train for years. I went to pay and he refused. I tried again with his wife, but she also refused.
I have to go back and train with them again and hope they take my money this time since this will be the second time I will be training.
Always the first class is free, but that applies to beginners....

This shows how cool Fabio and his wife are.
Awesome couple.

If you train with Fabio, you'll learn how cool the whole group that trains there is. There are some great guys and girls that train at Fabio's place

Yea, I just called. The woman who answered said for beginner group training it costs:

$60 registration fee
$80 per month
$65 for a uniform

I'll be going on Saturday. This going to be fun.

Well, I registered as a student. I need to find someone in my area that is also interested in learning BJJ so I can catch a ride on weekdays before I commit any cash. This is very expensive considering that I'm coming from 19 miles away.

It's $80 per month for 4 classes but a 1 year contract is $110 per month. That means I need to get more clients.
