i was going to carl's jr on my way to our studio.. and i desided to check out the TKD & Hapkido School next door..

i saw kids all over..first of all..

saw a mom there with her fat little boy .. that bitch is munching on chips and soda.. (sickness)

yelling and chatting while the class is on.. and that's not the stupid part..

some guy with a black belt does a kick and slips his ass on the mat..

i was like wooooh! slow down cowboy.. lol..

i was walked out like. "this is a joke"

from the strict rules and decipline at my muay thai school..
and for me to walk into a place like that..

wowzers!

you can really see the real from the fake in these dojos..

Well at where I live, the instructor is specialized in TaekWondo, but was also a kickboxing champ several times, and his advanced class, I can say that their class are not as intense as a Thai Boxing class, but They do train, they train pretty hard. I tried one of their classes but I was only a beginner, the next day I felt really big burns on my chest, arms, legs, the instructor gave us a good burn. (love those burns)

I think it depends on what school you train at. Some schools are big on their discipline, such as having the class do pressups when you are caught talking, not wearing the correct uniform etc.

It's the same with everything - theres good and theres bad. There just seems to be more bad out there though!

All arts have McDojangs, All arts have sucky schools, the fact that there is very many tkd-schools around increases the chance to find a tkd-mcDojang.. it is simple math, if you have 100 Dunt-Fu-ckwi-t-mi kung fu schools, and 200 000 tkd schools.. ofcourse the number of bad tkd-schools is larger..

to this day i have seen quite a few tkd-schools i have been impressed by. And CrazyKid, please turn caps lock off? constantly capsOn will only get you ignored by me.. and no, don't rant on about "blabla, read, blabla eyes, blabla whine" it is inpolite and it is foolish to use caps all the time, so don't! thank you.

and about Taekwon-Do, the problem with many tkd-schools aren't the lack of good/proper/effective techniques but the goal of the school. Many tkd-schools operate with the goal "we want to give our students a special expereince.. to get in better shape, be part of something" the main goal isn't always selfdefence. Many do 'martial arts' beacause they want to get in shape in a little bit more fun way than in a gym. Who are we to say that this isn't right? who are we to judge the reasons/motivation people have? Not everybody has the "I'm going to be rambo and be the most dangerous mofo in my hood" mentality some here tend to show..

mothers that want to get in shape needs to train don't they? blabbering about how stupid that is, isn't nice..
