Default weights

many theories on that, What i always have done (and have been taught when i went as a sports-major in college) is that you have to look at pure strenght-training as building of the engine and that speed/explosivity is tuning of that engine and well, if you don't want volume but you want a nice strenght/volume ratio, i would reccomend that you train to get a good foundation first, then start to do 3-4 reps with heavy weights, but don't do them slow, do them as fast as you can (maybe 85% of 1 RM-MAX) that way you make sure that you recruit the max number of musclefibers all the time, and that is what is important. Anyways, i recommend that you buy a book and read abou the theory behind it all and set up a program that works for your kind of muscles (fiber type, gain-potential) and all of that.. or mail me:P
