First a question: what kind of kempo? there are many forms of kempo/kenpo

Appart from that, Instructor courses are a quick way to learn a big part of the curriculum of a Martial Art, if the costs are acceptable I would go for it

Most kempo styles are very traditional, it depends, there is some good stuff in kenpo that you might want to adopt. It has some nice hand strikes, it focuses on 70% hands and 30% legs. That depends though, because there is tons of different styles of kempo. Go to a class and watch, if you think it'll work for ya then go ahead and practice it. Personally, I'd study Muay Thai or Kyokushin Karate, they are more well rounded. But, don't take my word for it, research for yourself and make your own conclusions. Hope this helps.

the style is called Goshin-Ryu Kempo, and the instructor says that it is more modern than other styles. it it is based on the needs of today.. As i know of the course will be free, so i think i will go for it, if i have time.

I don't know where you live but for those of you that aren't aware, Kempo may be known for it's somewhat inpractical fighting techinques, but "The Pit" Hawaiin Kempo is the real thing and has proven itself,...I think....
